Read stock movements
Every change to an article’s stock — whether from a goods receipt, an order, an inventory count, or a correction — is recorded as a stock movement with timestamp and the employee who triggered it. This log is the truth about your warehouse.
Where to find it
Three-dot menu on an article → Stock movements. You see every in- and outbound, sorted chronologically.
What a movement contains
- Type — e.g. goods receipt, goods issue, reservation, reservation released, manual correction, inventory count, transfer, customer return, supplier return, ID change.
- Quantity — how much stock changed (signed).
- Before → after — the stock before and after the movement.
- Reservation delta — if only the reservation changed, you see the delta here.
- Document reference — for movements triggered by an order or PO you see the order / PO number.
- Employee — who triggered it.
- Notes / batch / expiry — extra details from goods receipts where applicable.
Why it matters
- Audit-ready — every stock change ties back to an action and a person.
- Troubleshooting — why is article X suddenly 12 units short? → open movement list.
- GoBD compliance — the immutable history meets the German “principles of orderly bookkeeping” requirements.
Corrections instead of deletions
Stock movements cannot be edited or deleted. To correct a mistake, book an opposing movement (e.g. a manual correction). The history stays complete — the original mistake and the correction are both visible.
