Permission packages for quick setup

When you have several roles that share most permissions (say two different “team lead” types), a package saves you from repeating the same clicks.

Create a package

  1. In the permissions matrix, tick the boxes you want, as usual.
  2. Click Save as package at the top and give it a name.
  3. The package appears in the package list above the matrix from now on.

Apply a package

  1. Select the target role.
  2. Click the desired package — all ticks contained in it are applied.
  3. Adjust individually and save the role.

When packages help most

  • Onboarding new branches: create the standard packages once (Admin, Team Lead, Accounting, Employee). New branches get fully configured roles in two clicks.
  • Bulk correction: want to change a permission set across several roles? Build the new set once as a package and reapply it everywhere.

What packages are not

Packages are templates. They are not assigned to people directly. Changing a package does not retroactively change roles you already created — reapply the package on each role to pick up the new ticks.
